31 Fishing

Man ties a flyDuring the pandemic, I dedicated that I would get some use out of the Arkansas Fishing license that I purchased the year before. It was going to expire at the end of August, so I made some trips across the Mississippi River to catch fish in the natural state.

I drove over the bridge before sunrise and I found that I could fish for ninety minutes to a couple of hours and still make it back in time for work. Overall it was not a success; meaning, I did not catch many fish.

I do have a distinction of having caught 2 catfish on artificial lures in Arkansas. The first was at the Mississippi River park about 50 miles south of Memphis at Helena. The other one I caught at the pond in this photo.

I used Light Room to brighten the subject some, but that is sunlight around the guy fishing. The photo is not heavily edited, but the subject was in shadow originally and not very distinct.

This photo however, was the best thing I got from my early-morning trips to Arkansas. I made it with my SONY 7r with the 70-200mm zoom.
