MCIL does not record any information or count "hits" from your visit to our website. We appreciate your patronage, but currently we have no desire to track your Internet use.

Is personal information requested?

No. Personal information is voluntary.  You may wish to provide mailing information or other contact information to stay informed on certain issues.  This correspondence is confidential, and will not be forwarded outside the MCIL staff.

Furthermore, only your name, address, email address, and phone number are potential responses. No financial or billing information is ever requested from MCIL.

How is the information used?

The information helps us identify the type of Web site content our customers value most. We then use this information to improve the Web site. We do not use this information to send you  notifications or updates. None of the information collected is shared with organizations external to MCIL.

Will my information be used for any other purposes?

MCIL has an obligation to report its community activities to various grant organizations including the U.S. Federal Government and the State of Tennessee.  These reporting figures do not reflect any personal information but may be summed up in narrative statements concerning community interaction through the Internet.

What happens when I leave MCIL.com to visit a MCIL linked Web site?

What is a cookie?

The default page at http://www.mcil.org/ will redirect to the default page http://www.mcil.org/mcil/

The subweb http://www.mcil.org/our/ is reserved for dynamic pages.

The directory “download” is reserved for any FTP action; FTP will not be used to maintain other directories and files from the "download" directory will not link back into the FrontPage controlled sections of the site.  The index file will redirect to the root default page.

The website will exist for editing on a Portable Computer [Fuji] and be published to the Internet form that computer exclusively, with the following exceptions of files that are not to be updated:
