I assist people with disabilities to live independently in our community, especially people with significant disabilities moving from an institutional setting into their own home. I work one-on-one with people and organize individuals to advance civil rights for people with disabilities. I develop and curate the CPWD website: www.cpwd-ilc.org.

I edit and produce the ADAPT Action Report that provides photographs, commentary and news from the national ADAPT Actions www.knowonk.com/aar/.

I edit and produce the MCIL Journal for the Memphis Center for Independent Living www.mcil.org.

I was one of 19 volunteer National Coordinators for the Free Our People March. My specific duties were to raise money for the march, produce and manage the FreeOurPeople.org website and produce Internet related media for the march.

As the ADA Community Organizer I support, plan and coordinate media and civic events to advance the philosophy of independent living. I design and develop the MCIL web site (www.mcil.org). I produce and edit the quarterly newsletter, The Declaration! I coordinated the RAMP It Up! program that built 25 access ramps in 1998 and 1999 by creating custom ramp designs and coordinating civic and social groups to provide volunteer labor. I provide technical assistance on the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act and report to the state ADA Southeast Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center project coordinator.

I produced the MCIL Rental Housing Accessibility Survey that examined 2899 covered units that identified over 1700 barriers in newly constructed units.
