I have a camera, but most people use a phone. At some point I started taking photos of people taking photos with their phone. I have started a collection of these photos and I continue to add to the Flickr Album.
The photo I am trying to get is a sharp view on the phone and a distant view of the same subject, in the rest of the frame. I have never asked someone to help, but it would be much easier if the photo was posed.
I have also made a video out of two photos. In the first I have the subject out of focus and the phone in focus. The second is switched. The video is about 15 seconds and it fades between the two so that the focus dramatically changes like racking focus in a video shot.
The phone in this photo belongs to Ron Cranston as ADAPT was packing into the Utah State Capitol. I don't know why Ron was taking a photo of the steps.
